We depart from the pier or your hotel in Puerto Varas/Puerto Montt and travel to the skirts of Osorno Volcano, to the entrance of Vicente Perez Rosales National Park and the Laguna Verde area. This national park is part of the Temperate Rainforests of the Austral Andes, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2007.
We visit the three main points of this National Park: Osorno Volcano, Petrohué Waterfalls and Todos Los Santos Lake (All Saints Lake).

On Osorno Volcano we visit the Burbuja area where a ski resort is located and where we may see the glacial run-off from the volcano’s slopes and glaciers, together with other points of interest. We then proceed to the famous Petrohué Waterfalls or Los Saltos. The falls were created by the enormous lava flows of Osorno Volcano. The lava is continually being sculpted into unusual forms by the power of the river. The flora and fauna of the temperate rain forest abound in this area. Then we visit the Todos Los Santos Lago, also known as Emerald Lake, so named for the deep emerald color of its waters. You will want to take photos from the beach while enjoying a walk around to the black sand beach.

After that, we visit Puerto Varas, a beautiful city on Lake LLanquihue where we can see Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes. Enjoy an easy walk down the main street bordering the lake; take photos and also enjoy the local and international cuisine and pastries, if you like. This is a good time for lunch (optional—at your own expense).
We continue our excursion to Puerto Montt, capital of the Lake District, where we continue to Angelmo Market and Art Village, which is one of the most well known markets in Puerto Montt. Here you find the typical farmers and fisherman that come from the islands around Puerto Montt. Take photos and enjoy the experience with the locals!
